Maria Dincel is Managing Director of Global Partnerships, overseeing Cisco’s sports sponsorships. Maria joined Cisco in 2005, and since 2011 has overseen Cisco’s growing sports portfolio, which currently includes the NBA, Rio 2016 Olympic & Paralympic Games, and Tokyo 2020 Olympic & Paralympic Games, among others.

Her work with the NBA has aided the league in developing long-term technology business solutions, such as the delivery of data and video from the court to fans around the world in real time. In Brazil, she has been instrumental in driving the overall marketing strategy around the Rio 2016 Games with a focus on increasing Cisco brand awareness in Brazil and also charting a course for the years that follow the Games to ensure Cisco has a lasting impact on the city and the country.

Across the above partnerships, and numerous others with leagues (MLB, NHL, etc.), broadcasters (NBC, Turner, ESPN, etc.), and events (AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am), Dincel has leveraged these global platforms to deliver innovative business to business marketing programs that showcase Cisco technology solutions and drive business objectives such as increasing sales, generating substantial brand awareness, and fostering employee engagement.

Dincel received hervBachelor’s degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, where she also played on the varsity soccer team.
